Revolutionary patent protected Terasense® technology allows to produce a new type of semiconductor detectors of T-rays, which can operate at room temperatures. These detectors can be combined into a compact matrix (like CCD in photo camera) and are quite inexpensive. In addition to detectors, the Company has a technology for creation of T-rays "flashes" and also possesses the technology for substances detection using their individual terahertz spectral "fingerprints".

Terasense® technology creates a lot of new business opportunities and applications. Some of these applications are:

Industrial: manufacturing process control, products and materials inspection, food inspection;
Biomedicine: mammography, bone tomography, endoscopy, medical diagnostics, detection of cancer and other diseases;
Imaging: detecting the contents of packages or sealed documents;

The first our planned practical usage of Terasense® technology will be Medical Imaging and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for various industries.    
Terasense® devices are safe like a cellular phone, compact and cost-effective like a video camera. Medical Imaging and Non-Destructive Testing have a chance to become a mass market with Terasense® terahertz technologies - each physician or engineer will be able to buy it from the shelf and use in their office. It could be revolutionary change for life sciences, medical, security and many other markets.

The Company's target is to become a world manufacturer of OEM components for terahertz imaging, taking in account that production of Terasense® semiconductor components can be affordable by the most existing factories, which produce regular chips and semiconductor components using GaAs or Si based technologies.

Competitive Advantages

There is a number of companies, which are working on commercialization of terahertz technologies, but none of them are even close to reliability and cost-effectiveness of Terasense® devices.

Terasense® devices are safe as cell phone, work at room temperatures and can penetrate the most of non-conducting substances (using 0.1-0.8 Hz rays).
Our devices are compact (registration matrix is a chip of 50x50 mm size), easy-to-manufacture (using regular GaAs or Si) and cost effective, just like video cameras.
Terasense® can identify the substances by their T-rays spectral "fingerprint" for 1 second using proprietary "flash", software and patented processing techniques.
Terasense® provides instant terahertz imaging using the matrix of semiconductor detectors (32x32, 100x100 or 300x300 pixels) with spatial resolution less than 0.5 mm.
